Aminata Diop-Johnson

Aminata Diop-Johnson is the Founder and Director of the African Cultural Agency. She has over two decades of experience in organizing strategic campaigns and events for leading international entities, private corporations, African institutions and governments.


Her expertise spans from event management, to public relations, government relations in Europe and Africa across various industries but most specifically in the realms of literature, cinema and culture.


Aminata has always been committed to the promotion and enhancement of African Cultural and Creative Industries, with a particular emphasis on supporting young talents from the African continent and seeking promote
parity and diversity within the world of arts. She is the organizer of the African Pavilion at Cannes since 2019 and of the African Corner at the Salon du Livre in Paris.


She has launched the “Talentuous Cameras of Africa” program which promotes the emergence and raise the profile of young African creatives internationally.


Aminata collaborated with the city of Cannes, and the Short Film Corner program of the Cannes Film Festival, in partnership with the African Union and with the support of the CNC, ACP-Culture and UNESCO. She was selected in 2019 to participate in the Women of Africa in Action
program, an initiative sponsored by TV5 Monde aimed at highlighting entrepreneurial and influential African women whose business enterprise make great impact on the overall economic development of the African
continent .
