About the African Pavilion

This Is How Our Story Began

The African Pavilion was created in 2018 by Aminata Diop Johnson, in a bid to promote and enhance the visibility of African creative industry at high profile events in Europe and across the globe.

The African Pavilion has become a force to be reckoned with when its comes to cinema, literature, gastronomy, fashion and more.

For the past 5 years, Aminata Diop has been positioning the African Pavilion at the forefront every major cultural events and gatherings that empower creatives, artists, innovators and technologists.

Those landmark events include: Cannes FIlm Festival, CANEX WKND by Afreximbank, Le Salon du Livre in Paris, Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah.
